Poetry has been around for as long as people could speak but in China it begin in the 11th century bc. one of the most enduring early works was shi jing (classic of poetry or books of songs). There were 305 poems that treated many different subjects. They had enduring effects since the Zhou Dynasty.!
That is a lot of poems for only 14 people to right!!! I can not right even one eighth of those in my entire life!
